"Have a better relationships within family"

Have a better life and more control over it. Spend more time on the land. Practice more traditional ways. Have stronger, better relationships within your family. The family program here at the Charles J. Andrew Treatment Centre is significantly better than other treatment centres I attended.

"Everyone Really Connected"

In the country it was better. They showed us how to be spiritual. Sometimes we went fishing. At night we played games. We talked, bonded, laughed. Everyone connected. The staff would take us for good long walks. There’s always friendliness in the country.

"We shed a lot of tears at Nutshimit"

During the clinical week, we focus on the brain through counseling and psychoeducation. In the land-based week, we work on healing the heart through cultural practices. At Nutshimit, emotions run deep, and many tears are shed along the healing journey.
